    Anyone who isn't active on the assaultcube official forum who is the update or whatever, I suggest you go check it out.

    by reducing power they most likely meant 1-2 more bullets for a kill. however since its easier to handle it will be easier to hit people so hopefully it will balance out. anyhow im interested in trying out the rifle. i wonder if you can get gibs with it?

    I don't think you can atm, not sure tho.
    And I have tried it and in mho the smg sucks now. The shotty is the way to go.

    shotty will be better now. used to like it and only use it but just realized how much it sucks. half of the weapon is luck. plus no ranged capabilities.

    took me about 3 mins fatass.
    after trying out the new version
    rifle sucks
    assault rifle will take some time to get good at because of shit recoil but its the best weapon now
    shotguns better not the best
    sniper is the same, pistols a little worse so haha blood
    sub is worse, not too great anymore

    also you only get 1 grenade now and you have to find a second one to get 2 which sucks shit, however they improved the radius of explosions i think

    whens this version coming out?

    okay heres the roky friendly tutorial.
    go here and download dis shit
    http://tortoisesvn.net/downloads

    than install it and reboot.
    make a new folder in documents and right click anywhere in it.
    choose SVN checkout and put this in the url box
    https://actiongame.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/actiongame/trunk/ac/

    than press okay and let it install.
    finally find assaultcube.bat in the folder and click it to do version 1.1

    Rocky your soooo lazy.
    Although Blood shouldn't be too worried. Although it does take to shots with a pistol now to finish off a 100Hp person hit with a sniper bullet the pistol is much for accurate and shoots faster its doesn't really change tooooo much. IMO

    yeah basically this version requires a lot more skill because it has less damage more accuracy so it takes a steady hand to kill now not a good weapon.

    Also because the smg has been reduced quiet noticeably I think the FPS wh0res of the world that have a huge fps. And yes I STRONGLY believe fps makes a difference when using the sub. Now that the sub has been reduced the fps wh0res cant wh0re out the sub and just rape shit.

    I'm getting much lower framerate on the new version having compiled it from source. Hopefully the code will be more optimised by the time it's released.

    When everyone gives there feedback and the dev team decide that 1.1 is ready I would guess. (I don't think there is a specific time yet).

    And I agree the AR is the way to go.

    i had the same opinion before but its grown on me roky. give it a try. i saw Makke pwning with the rifle the other day. SMG really isnt that much worse and Assault Rifle is muuuuuuuch better. ive noticed no real difference with a pistol/sniper combo

    The main thing I have noticed is that there is waaaay more lag even with low pings, and the framerate is much much lower when there are multiple player models in view.

Now that they have reduced the powerfulness of those 2 and added a little to the AR and the shotgun it "evens" out the playing field of the guns which in turn makes the game a much more balanced game?

    don't forget the niche population of experienced shotty users!

    it's all situational too though.... like shotty is perfect for mines where there are tight spaces and blind turns, whereas SMG is perfect for shine... grab the flag then strafe across the map.
